"In the forest, there was a crooked tree and a straight tree. Every day, the straight tree would say to the crooked tree, "Look at me...I'm tall, and I'm straight, and I'm handsome. Look at you...you're all crooked and bent over. No one wants to look at you." And they grew up in that forest together. And then one day the loggers came, and they saw the crooked tree and the straight tree, and they said, "Just cut the straight trees and leave the rest." So the loggers turned all the straight trees into lumber and toothpicks and paper. And the crooked tree is still there, growing stronger and stranger every day."

Trailer: The Social Network

This time with real life actual footage!

Floored. Completely. Sure I was expecting a good script and performance but I wasn’t expecting the visual assault that lays ahead. Damn.

This actually does look pretty damned good.  Aaron Sorkin’s involved, and I hope it’s more like the first few seasons of The West Wing or the entire run of Sports Night and A Few Good Men and The American President and less like Studio 60 or whatever that short-lived series was called.

Count me in for being impressed at how this could turn out.

I had my doubts about how this could be good, but with David Fincher (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fight Club, Seven) at the helm, I was a bit interested. Now, after seeing a full trailer, I’m absolutely interested. Count me in as well.
